Privacy Policy

Who we are

Mood Astrology is made by WSO Digital Inc., a corporation based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean WSO Digital Inc., and “you” means the person using the app or this website.

This policy covers the Mood Astrology app for iPhone, its widgets and Live Activities (together, “the app”), and the website at moodastrology.app. The app may appear on the App Store under an earlier name, Moony. It is the same app, and this policy applies to it.

What stays on your iPhone

Mood Astrology has no account system and no server of its own. Everything you enter is saved on your device, in the app's own storage and in a shared container that lets the widgets read it. We do not receive it. That includes:

• Your name and your birth date, birth time and birth city.
• The charts the app calculates from them, and any readings it shows you.
• Profiles you add for other people or pets, for compatibility and similar features.
• Your journal, dream journal, ritual notes, tarot history and saved spreads.
• Your cycle log, if you use Cycle and Moon.
• Your settings, such as notification times.

Birth cities are looked up from a list built into the app, so typing one does not send it anywhere. All chart, Moon and transit calculations run on your phone.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, this data is included in that backup under Apple's terms and your own backup settings. We cannot access those backups.

What leaves your iPhone

Data leaves your device in only the situations below, and only to the service named.

Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple. We never see your payment details. To check whether Pro is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID created on your device, your purchase and receipt information, and basic technical data such as your device model, iOS version, app version, country and IP address. It does not receive your birth details, journal or anything else you write. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf under its own privacy policy and a data processing agreement with us.

The optional AI assistant (Anthropic)

The AI assistant and the AI palm reading are off unless you turn them on by adding your own Anthropic API key. Your key is stored in your iPhone's Keychain and is never sent to us.

When you use these features, the app sends a request straight from your phone to Anthropic containing:

• Your messages in that conversation.
• The name on your profile and a summary of your chart: each planet's sign and house, and your rising sign. Your exact birth date, time and city are not included.
• A summary of today's sky: the date, the Moon's phase and sign, and any planets retrograde.
• For palm reading, the one photo of your palm that you choose.

Because the request uses your own key, it is handled under your own agreement with Anthropic, not ours, and it never passes through us. Anthropic's commercial terms say it does not train its models on API traffic. You can remove your key at any time in Settings, under AI Cosmic Assistant.

Apple services

• Notifications for full and new Moons and ritual reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. No notification server is involved.
• Maps in astrocartography are drawn by Apple Maps, which receives the map area being shown so it can return map tiles.
• Crash reports. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymous crash and usage reports with us.

Sharing you start

When you share a card, a reading or a PDF report, it goes only where you send it, through the iOS share sheet.

Apple Health

Cycle and Moon can optionally import the start dates of your periods from Apple Health. The app asks for permission to read menstrual flow data only. It never writes to Apple Health.

Health data is used only on your device to line your cycle up with the Moon and to estimate your next period. It is never sent to us, to Anthropic, to RevenueCat or to anyone else, never used for advertising, and never sold. You can turn off access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health, Data Access and Devices.

Cycle estimates are for reflection only. They are not medical advice and must not be used as contraception.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• We do not show ads, and the app contains no advertising code.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We do not use third-party analytics in the app.
• We do not ask you to create an account.

This website

moodastrology.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. The Moon details on the home page are worked out in your browser and are not sent anywhere.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply and help you.

Your choices and deleting data

• Edit or remove your birth details in the app at any time.
• Delete journal, dream journal and cycle entries individually inside the app.
• Remove your Anthropic key in Settings to switch the AI features off.
• Turn notifications or Apple Health access off in the iOS Settings app.
• Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone. Copies may remain in device backups until those backups are replaced.

Because we do not hold your app data, there is nothing on our side to export or delete. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, or for any other privacy question or request, email info@wsodigital.com and we will help. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct or delete your information. We honor those requests for everyone, wherever they live.

If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Mood Astrology is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@wsodigital.com and we will delete it.

Where data is processed

We are based in Canada. RevenueCat, Anthropic and Vercel are based in the United States and may process data there or in other countries where they operate. Data you keep in the app stays on your device.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how the app handles your information in a meaningful way, we will also say so in the app or in the App Store release notes before it takes effect.
